Trip Preparations

So time is getting closer to my first trip out of the country.  I have my documents, I have my itinerary and I am growing more and more excited as the day approaches.

So far all I have planned is my flights and hotel.  My parents and I are eager to be there.  They cannot wait to share with me a new part of the world, and I cannot wait to experience it.  Over the next few days I am going to post some test blogs, that have info, but what will test my posting capabilities while in Europe.  I am going to be posting via WiFi because international phone and data is expensive!

So in my planning here are some things I want to try to see:

Stonehenge: Being a druid this is HIGH on my things to see list.  Been wanting to go for years.  Now I'm going to be an hour away instead of half the world away.  Fingers crossed mom n dad are willing to make the trip out, I do not want to inconvenience them.

Abby Road Studios: my dad and I are huge Beatles fans.  How could I be staying a 15 min drive from there and NOT go.  That would be stupid.  I'm going to see if we can plan this visit as a stop on the way to something else so that there is no feeling of waisting a day.

National Gallery: I had the chance to see part of their Leonardo collection when it came to San Jose.  Now I want to see the rest plus other things in the collection.

The British Museum: The home of the Rosetta stone and 2 million years of world history under one roof.  This sounds like fun to me.

Royal Museum Greenwich: stand on two hemisphiers and see lots of unique things on a campus of 4 museums!  What?!  This sounds like another winner for me.

Tate Art Museum: another interesting museum, but with more modern arts.  I'm more interested in post impressionism and earlier.

So far that is what I am curious about.  I am going to talk about it with my parents and see.  Hopefully we can come to middle ground and decide.  I know some of what I have listed is some of what they are suggesting!

Stay tuned for further updates and posts as I get closer!
